We set up Centre Paws Ltd, formerly known as Katy's K9 Care, in 2015 to provide an incredible experience for dogs and owners. From small beginnings, we’ve added a different range of services, making us different from other Dog Day Care/Walking businesses in Wirral. While we’re proud of our fun and easy going attitude, our commitment to the safety and security of your pet guides everything we do.

Your pet’s happiness is our number one priority. During this service, we learn what they like and dislike and always treat them with kindness and patience.

PLAY GROUP

Plenty of Love and Attention

Our play group is a cross between dog day care and walk, and includes home collection and drop off.

We pride ourselves on our professional yet fun approach, and do everything necessary to ensure your pets are safe, secure and happy. Based in an outdoor environment, we have many different areas for dogs to play and explore, with cozy resting huts and heated cabin, play apparatus, agility equipment and our very own dog swimming pool and Splash pools (summer time only).

We start our collections from 9 am and all dogs are home between 1 and 3 pm. Your dog will be be in our care 3 to 4 hours. In the summer months we may start collections earlier to avoid the afternoon temperatures. For this service, we do hold keys if you're not likely to be home.

The Play session is £23.

Please call us on 0151 630 4813 to arrange a meet and greet and book your dogs first trial session.

Please note: We can only accept dogs who will be attending on a regular basis, (at least once a week), it does not have to be the same day each week. If your dog does not attend for more than 4 consecutive weeks, they will have to attend a retrial.

DOG PARK HIRE

The Best for Your Pet

If you are looking for an off lead enclosed area to exercise your dog. We have the perfect area's to excerise your dog.

(Please note: we do not man the site all day at weekends, but staff may be present at times to see to the animals living onsite. Should you need to speak with a member of staff prior to your booking please call during our hours which can be seen when you scroll down. Or call into the garden centre coffee shop for further assistance)

Our Field fun dog park is still undergoing some changes with new equipment being added. It is a decent sized grassy paddock with climbing and play apparatus. One part of the paddock is kept free of equipment, leaving it a nice space to practice some training techniques. There is also a picnic bench and water butt and bowl.

Please note: Our office is closed on a Monday and staff presence is minimal (Mainly to see to the animals living onsite)

The Play zone.

Is an area laid with Astroturf. Although not a huge area, it has plenty to offer to entertain your dog. With a large sand pit, undercover area and seating area, toys, tunnel, mini splash pool and ball pit. This area is where we hold our doggie parties too. This area has very limited availability.

Please note, owners are fully responsible for their own dogs well being when using any of our play areas. If you are unsure whether our play areas are suitable, it is advised you give us a call to book a viewing before booking.

SPLASH PAWS

A splashing time

Splash paws is our swimming and play area for dogs. Dogs love having a splashing time, swimming and playing. Here you will find different sized swimming pools, catering for all sizes and ability.

Splash Paws is open now and ready for your booking.

(we have very limited availability for hire of this area due to our day care dogs having access during the week)

Price for just the Splash Zone (not including use of the large swimming pool) is currently £15.50 per 55 mins for up to 2 dogs, and £5 each dog after. If you wish to use the large pool an adult must be present in the pool. This is an extra cost of £10 per dog.

We do not offer swimming lessons. It is a fun swim session only.

UNFORTUNATELY THE BIG POOL IS NOT OPEN THIS YEAR.

Paws Club Social

A club for humans and fur friends

Paws Club is our weekly social event for humans and their dogs. Held in The Green Paw Cafe, with access to the Play Zone and Nature Tails Park for £3.50 per dog.

What is Paws Club??

This event is shared space play and for people who want to interact safely with their dog in a safe and secure environment, share knowledge, discuss everything dog or animal related, and above all, make friends. We must not forget about enjoying Breakfast, Coffee and Cake too. Only well behaved and sociable dogs are welcome to attend.

Paws Club Social is held on Saturdays 10 am till 2.30 pm.

Terms And Conditions

* You must own the dogs attending with you.

* Dogs must be on a lead in all communal areas (car park ,cafe, access path etc)

*Dogs to be microchipped.

*Dogs to wear a collar or harness at all times.

* Dogs to be supervised by pawrents at all times.

* NO females in season or intact males over 12 months of age we do not already know.

* No smoking.

* Structures and enrichments are for dogs only (at your discretion if they use them). No humans allowed.

* No food. This to avoid creating conflict between dogs in shared space.

* Pawrents should be aware of their dogs behaviour and remove them if they become aggressive, or show excessive unwanted behaviour towards other dogs.

* Children must not; play on any equipment, approach or touch unfamiliar dogs without owner consent, run, scream or make sudden movements that may startle a dog.

Our premises is used at your own risk, we do not take any responsibility for any incidents within Centre Paws Ltd. We strongly suggest you have your own insurance policy.

* You accept your dog is your responsibility at all times.

* You must not attend if your dog is showing signs of illness.

By participating in Paws Club, you are deemed to understand all the above.

WHAT ELSE?

Centre Paws is also home to Bethan's Ark animal sanctuary. Here we look after many animals including Ponies, a pig, Chickens and ducks, Cats and lots of rabbits and guinea pigs.
