We set up Centre Paws Ltd, formerly known as Katy's K9 Care, in 2015 to provide an incredible experience for dogs and owners. From small beginnings, we’ve added a different range of services, making us different from other Dog Day Care/Walking businesses in Wirral. While we’re proud of our fun and easy going attitude, our commitment to the safety and security of your pet guides everything we do.

Plenty of Love and Attention

Dog day care is one of our most popular services, especially for repeat clients. We pride ourselves on our professional yet fun approach, and do everything necessary to ensure your pets are safe, secure and happy. Based in an outdoor environment, we are Wirrals first and only licensed outdoor facility. We have many different areas for dogs to play and explore, with cozy resting huts and heated cabin, play apparatus, bouncy castle, agility equipment and our very own dog swimming pool (summer time only).

We are open for Day care from from 7 am to 6 pm. We we ask all dogs to be with us by 9 am.

Dog day care, is £27 for a full day and £18 for half a day. Half day care dogs are to be collected no later than 1pm.

Our Play group is a cross between a walk and day care and includes home collection and drop off. This is an ideal solution if you are not able to get to us. We start our collections from 9 am and all dogs are home between 1 and 3 pm. Your dog will be be in our care 3 to 4 hours. In the summer months we may start collections earlier to avoid the afternoon temperatures. For this service, we do hold keys if you're not likely to be home.

The Play session is £23.

DOG PARK HIRE

The Best for Your Pet

If you are looking for an off lead enclosed area to exercise your dog. We have the perfect area's to excerise your dog.

Our Field fun dog park is still undergoing some changes with new equipment being added. It is a decent sized grassy paddock with climbing and play apparatus. One part of the paddock is kept free of equipment, leaving it a nice space to practice some training techniques. There is also a picnic bench and water butt and bowl.

The Play zone.

Is an area laid with Astroturf. Although not a huge area, it has plenty to offer to entertain your dog. With a large sand pit, undercover area and seating area, toys, tunnel, mini splash pool, bouncy castle and ball pit. This area is where we hold our doggie parties too.

Please note, owners are fully responsible for their own dogs well being when using any of our play areas. If you are unsure whether our play areas are suitable, it is advised you give us a call to book a viewing before booking.

SPLASH PAWS

A splashing time

Splash paws is our swimming and play area for dogs. Dogs love having a splashing time, swimming and playing. Here you will find different sized swimming pools, catering for all sizes and ability.

Splash Paws is open now and ready for your booking.

(we have very limited availability for hire of this area due to our day care dogs having access during the week)

Price for just the Splash Zone (not including use of the large swimming pool) is currently £15.50 per 55 mins for up to 2 dogs, and £5 each dog after. If you wish to use the large pool an adult must be present in the pool. This is an extra cost of £10 per dog.

We do not offer swimming lessons. It is a fun swim session only.

Paws Club Social

A club for humans and fur friends

(coming in March)

Paws Club is our weekly social event for humans and their dogs. Held in The Green Paw Cafe, with free access to the Play Zone with any purchase from the Cafe.

What is Paws Club??

This event is for people who want to interact safely with their dog in a safe and secure environment, share knowledge, discuss everything dog or animal related, and above all, make friends. We must not forget about enjoying Coffee and Cake too. Only well behaved and sociable dogs are welcome to attend, and will be permitted off lead to play in the Play zone. They must be on lead when not in this area. Unfortunately, we cannot allow intact males over 12 months old in the Play Zone. Owners will be fully responsible for their dogs and must monitor their behaviour. Children are not permitted to play on the equipment if attending.

Paws Club Social is held on Saturdays and Sundays 10 am till 12 pm.

WHAT ELSE?

Centre Paws is also home to Bethan's Ark animal sanctuary. Here we look after many animals including Ponies, a pig, Chickens and ducks, Cats and lots of rabbits and guinea pigs. We often hold a range of events through out the year and we have lots and lots planned for the new year ahead, including a new outdoor seating area and pop up cafe for visiting guests of the dog park or just to see our rescue animals.
